This series consists of black and white glass negatives, the majority of which show Robert E. Peary. Of note are pictures of Peary wearing a sheepskin aviation suit and fur coats (XP-XPF-9 through 21). Also included are one view of the vessel Roosevelt and two views of sledging parties (XP-XPF-6 through 8).

Robert Edwin Peary Sr. (born May 6, 1856, Cresson, Pennsylvania – died February 20, 1920, Washington, D.C.) was an American explorer and United States Navy officer who made several expeditions to the Arctic in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
